The 7th Air Assault Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed footage of the liquidation of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of russian occupiers in Pokrovsk.
The corresponding video was published on the Corps' Facebook page on Thursday, August 7.
According to the military, for a month, the sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the occupiers have been trying to infiltrate and gain a foothold in the territory of Pokrovsk.
Such groups can be destroyed thanks to the coordinated work of units from the 7th Corps and other parts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Soldiers of the occupier army are detected and liquidated using UAVs.
"Currently, Pokrovsk is free of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and is completely under the control of the Ukrainian military," the Corps said.
The Corps published a video showing the work of Ukrainian UAV operators on occupiers who are trying to hide in buildings and in the courtyards of residential buildings.
The video also shows the central part of Pokrovsk (0:24). The drone flies over Shybankov Square, where the complex of buildings of the former Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) and the Palace of Culture are located.
Almost all buildings in the city center are either completely destroyed or severely damaged as a result of shelling by the occupiers.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday, August 6, the 7th Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the russian army was ordered to capture Pokrovsk by September 1 of this year.
The military also showed leaflets that the occupiers are scattering over the city. With their help, they are calling on civilians who continue to remain in the settlement to mark the location of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on August 6, the Donetsk Regional Military Administration announced that it is now practically impossible to deliver humanitarian aid to Pokrovsk. The roads leading to the city are under the fire control of the occupiers.
