The United States will significantly increase tariffs on Indian goods. India buys large volumes of oil from the aggressor country russia, thereby financing its war against Ukraine.
Trump announced this on the social network Truth Social on Monday, August 4.
According to Trump, India not only buys huge volumes of russian oil. The country resells most of this oil on the open market, making a huge profit.
"They don't care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine," the US president emphasized.
He wrote that in this regard, the US will significantly increase the tariffs paid by India to the US.

Recall that on July 30 of this year, President Trump announced a 25% tariff against India. One of the reasons is the purchase of russian oil, the money from the sale of which Moscow spends on the war against Ukraine.
In addition, Trump accused New Delhi of the toughest and most unpleasant non-monetary trade barriers against the United States.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday, August 3, Trump's advisor Stephen Miller said that India is actually sponsoring russia's aggression against Ukraine. He called New Delhi's actions unacceptable.
We also wrote that India sold russia explosives worth almost USD 1.5 million.
