US President Donald Trump said that russian dictator vladimir putin has 10 days to cease fire in Ukraine. Otherwise, Washington will impose promised tariffs against Moscow.
Trump made the corresponding statement on Tuesday, July 29, while talking to reporters on board Air Force One.
The US President was reminded of his recent words, when he said that russia has 10-12 days to cease fire.
"10 days, starting today," Trump said.
According to him, tariffs will be imposed if the russian army does not cease hostilities during this period.
At the same time, Trump admitted that he was not sure whether the tariffs would be able to influence russia.
Recall, on July 28, the US President announced that he had set a new deadline of 10-12 days for russia to make progress in reaching a peace agreement with Ukraine.
Earlier in July, Trump said that he was ready to introduce "tough economic measures" if the russian dictator did not begin to demonstrate real steps to end the war.
Also, the day before, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that putin had seriously miscalculated with Trump, and countries that support the russian military machine will soon "pay a long-overdue price."
