Trump sets new deadline for russia of 10-12 days to reach peace deal with Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said he is setting a new deadline of 10-12 days from today, within which the aggressor state russia must make progress in concluding a peace deal with Ukraine.

He said this on July 28 during a visit to Scotland.

"I'm going to make a new deadline of about ten or twelve days from today... there's no reason in waiting... I want to be generous but we just don't see any progress being made," Trump said.

Recall that on July 14, Trump stated that he was dissatisfied with the behavior of the aggressor country russia and was ready to introduce tough economic measures if an agreement to end the war in Ukraine was not reached within 50 days.

Today, July 28, US President Donald Trump expressed disappointment with russian leader vladimir putin and said that he was going to shorten the 50-day deadline he gave russia to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the day before, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Trump was losing patience with the peaceful settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war, since contacts with russian leader vladimir putin "never lead to anything."
