President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the aggressor country russia is very afraid of sanctions, although they pretend that it will not change anything. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel following a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
In the post, Zelenskyy thanked Canada for its military, financial support and sanctions against russia. He said that he had discussed with the prime minister the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense with additional systems and missiles, as well as increasing funding for the joint production of drones, in particular interceptors.
"There was also talk about sanctions against Russia. Moscow is very afraid of them, although they pretend that it will not change anything for them. Our intelligence data says something completely different. That is why it is important to increase sanctions pressure and force the aggressor to make peace. We will ensure the necessary steps," the President wrote.
Recall that Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that in the coming weeks, international partners should achieve maximum synchronization of sanctions against russia in order to increase pressure on the war economy of the aggressor state.
Meanwhile, Trump set a new deadline for russia of 10-12 days to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine.
