Rescuers continue to clear rubble of nine-story building in Solomianskyi district of capital, hit by missile during massive attack on June 17.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
According to the State Emergency Service, search operations at the scene of the tragedy did not stop overnight.

“As of 07:00 am, the bodies of five more victims were recovered from the rubble of a partially destroyed building. The total number of victims at this address is 16,” the report says.

Work at the scene is ongoing. According to updated information, the total number of deaths in Kyiv has increased to 21 people, and the number of injured has reached 134.

As of 08:09 in the morning, another victim was reported.
"In the Solomianskyi district, the body of another deceased person (male) was unblocked from under the rubble of a partially destroyed nine-story building. In total, 17 bodies were recovered from the specified address. The work is ongoing," the State Emergency Service noted.
Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko also noted that the work to sort out the rubble and search for people continued all night.
"Unfortunately, the worst forecasts are still coming true. Some of those Kyiv residents who stopped contacting each other yesterday after the attack have been pulled out from under the rubble. As of eight in the morning, 17 people were killed as a result of a direct hit on a house in the Solomianskyi district. The search is ongoing," Tkachenko noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 17, Kyiv suffered one of the largest attacks since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion. Several districts of Kyiv came under fire, including Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi. In Solomianskyi, an Kh-101 missile destroyed the entrance to a high-rise building.
On June 17, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) said that the combined attack on Kyiv by the aggressor country of russia on the night of June 17 was likely the deadliest attack on the capital in almost a year.
