Member of Parliament Mariana Bezuhla believes that against the backdrop of the offensive of the army of the aggressor country russia, residents of frontline and potentially frontline communities in the Sumy Region need to evacuate as soon as possible.
Bezuhla wrote about this on her Telegram channel on Tuesday, June 3.
The MP claims that the operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation was allegedly not used to prepare the Sumy Region for defense.
According to Bezuhla, the fortifications in the territory of the Sumy Region are allegedly prepared the worst of all the "risky" regions.
She claims that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the leadership of the Sumy Regional Military Administration are allegedly to blame for the failure of the defense preparation of the region.
Bezuhla believes that the occupiers assessed the situation with the defense preparation of the Sumy Region and launched an offensive, choosing the "weakest place".
"Therefore, let's be realistic - I must warn and advise citizens to take care of their safety and evacuate from the frontline and potentially frontline zones of the Sumy Region without delay," the parliamentarian wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 30, the Sumy Regional Autonomous Administration announced a mass refusal of people to evacuate from settlements where mandatory evacuation had previously been announced.
As a reminder, yesterday, June 2, the State Border Service of Ukraine stated that the russian army does not pay attention to the losses and continues its attempts to enter the territory of the Sumy Region.
And according to the Ukrainian analytical project DeepState, in May, russian troops occupied 110 square kilometers of the Sumy Region.
