The army of the aggressor country of russia allegedly occupied 449 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. This is the largest advance of the occupiers since the beginning of 2025.
This was reported by the Ukrainian analytical OSINT project DeepState.

"Unfortunately, in May the dynamics of territorial losses exceeded the limit of 200 km per month, which has been maintained since February," DeepState said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, today, June 2, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that russian troops are ignoring the losses and are continuing attempts to enter the territory of the Sumy Region.
We will remind, on May 31, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the north of the Sumy Region has become one of the main directions of the russian army's offensive.
