The army of the aggressor country russia carried out a brutal strike on Sumy, deliberately hitting civilians with rocket artillery. There are already three killed in the city, there are wounded.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his official Telegram channel.
"The Russians brutally hit Sumy. Just in the city, on ordinary streets - with rocket artillery. An absolutely deliberate strike on civilians," the President wrote.
According to him, at least three deaths are now known. Many people were injured and traumatized, their exact number is being established.
Zelenskyy added that one of the russian rocket artillery shells pierced the wall of a 9-story residential building, but, fortunately, did not explode.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of Tuesday, June 3, the russian army shelled Sumy using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Residential buildings and streets in the city center were hit.
As a reminder, on June 2, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that the russian army was ignoring the losses and was continuing its attempts to enter the territory of Sumy Region.
