Zelenskyy appoints 8 heads of Kyiv district state administrations, including businessman and comedian Bakhmatov and judoka Zantaraya

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed 8 heads of Kyiv district state administrations.

This is stated in orders Nos. 62-73 dated May 26, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Zelenskyy appointed:

- former comedian and TV presenter, entrepreneur Maksym Bakhmatov as head of the Desnianskyi district state administration;

- judoka, member of the Kyiv City Council from the Servant of the People party Heorhii Zantaraya as head of the Sviatoshynskyi district state administration;

- deputy head of the Obolonskyi district state administration Oleksandr Sazanovych as head of the Shevchenkivskyi district state administration;

- associate professor of the Department of International Relations of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts Volodymyr Nakonechnyi as head of the Podilska district state administration;

- former First Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration (2020-2024) Serhii Movenko as head of the Solomyanska district state administration;

- director of the Department of Digital Development of Asset Detection and Tracing of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (Asset Recovery and Management Agency, ARMA) Andrii Paladiy as Head of the Dniprovska district state administration;

- acting head of the Darnytska district state administration, deputy head of the district state administration Oleksandr Kovtunov as head of the Darnytsia district state administration;

- head of the Holosiyivka district state administration staff Sofia Dunayevska as head of the Holosiyivska district state administration.

At the same time, Zelenskyy dismissed Serhii Sadovyi from the post of head of the Holosiyivska district state administration and Iryna Chechotka from the post of head of the Solomyanska district state administration in accordance with their applications, as well as Oleksandr Popovtsev - from the temporary performance of the duties of the head of the Shevchenkivska district state administration, Oleksandr Kovtunov - from the temporary performance of the duties of the head of the Darnytska district state administration.

46-year-old Bakhmatov is an entrepreneur, public figure, founder and head of the public organization "Transformation Office", in September 2019 - July 2020 he was an advisor to the mayor of Kyiv, head of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitali Klitschko, was a managing partner of the UNIT.City innovation park (2016-2019), general director of VDNH (2015-2017), and in the past was a TV presenter, author, producer and resident of the Ukrainian Comedy Club (2006-2007).

37-year-old Zantaraya is a Ukrainian judoka of Georgian origin, the first world judo champion in the history of Ukraine, and since 2020 has been a member of the Kyiv City Council from the Servant of the People party.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 31, 2024, Zelenskyy appointed Tymur Tkachenko as head of the Kyiv City Military Administration to replace Serhii Popko.
