Russia launches ballistic missiles at Odesa port, killing port worker, 8 injured - Kuleba

Russia launched two ballistic missiles at the Odesa port, killing port worker, and injuring eight people. Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Russia launched two ballistic missiles at the Odesa port. Unfortunately, one person was killed - a port worker. Eight were injured - also civilian employees of the enterprise. Four of them are in serious condition. All of them are receiving aid," he said.

Kuleba noted that the attack damaged the engine room, broke windows and doors in administrative buildings, and destroyed vehicles and equipment.

"It was a normal working day in a normal Ukrainian port. People were working, equipment was reloading containers. There was no military facility - only civilian infrastructure. Russia again struck a peaceful, strategically important facility that is important for the world's food security," he noted.

According to him, during the war, the russian federation damaged and destroyed almost 400 port infrastructure facilities, more than 30 ships, and 106 civilian port infrastructure workers were injured.

Kuleba stressed that Ukraine must strengthen the protection of port infrastructure and continue working to guarantee freedom and safety of navigation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 25, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, following the results of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States, and the United States with the aggressor country of russia in Saudi Arabia, announced that all parties had agreed to ensure safe shipping in the Black Sea and to implement a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.

As a result of the strike by the aggressor country of russia on the port in Odesa on March 11, a ship flying the flag of Barbados was damaged, and four Syrian citizens were killed.
