Following the results of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States of America, and the United States with the aggressor country russia in Saudi Arabia, all parties agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and implement a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has reported this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Key results: 1. All parties agreed to ensure safe navigation, stop the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea," he said.
At the same time, Umerov emphasized that the Ukrainian side emphasizes that the movement of russia's military vessels beyond the Eastern Black Sea will be considered a violation of the spirit of this agreement and will be considered a violation of the obligations to ensure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and a threat to the national security of Ukraine. In such a case, Ukraine will have the full right to exercise the right to self-defense.
Umerov also reported that all parties agreed to implement the agreements of the Presidents on a complete ban on strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and russia.
According to him, all parties welcome the involvement of third countries in order to ensure support for the implementation of the energy and maritime agreements.
He also noted that all parties will continue to work to achieve a stable and lasting peace.
Umerov also noted that the United States has confirmed its support in helping to exchange prisoners of war, release civilian detainees, and return forcibly removed Ukrainian children.
He added that for the effective implementation of the agreements, it is important to hold additional technical consultations as soon as possible to agree on all the details and technical aspects of the implementation, monitoring and control of the agreements.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the White House reported that the US and russia have agreed on safe shipping in the Black Sea, as well as to develop measures to implement the agreement between President Trump and President putin on the prohibition of strikes on energy facilities in russia and Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation held two rounds of negotiations with the US delegation in Saudi Arabia - on March 23 and 25.
On March 24, negotiations were held in Saudi Arabia between the delegations of the US and the aggressor country russia.
