Head of russian delegation says it has necessary authority to negotiate

Aide to the russian dictator, Vladimir Medinsky, who heads the delegation of the aggressor country of russia in Istanbul, said that representatives of the russian federation allegedly have the necessary authority to negotiate.

Medinsky told journalists in Istanbul, a video of him was published by the russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti.

"Our official delegation is approved by the presidential order, and it has all the necessary authority to negotiate," Medinsky said.

He added that russia allegedly sees these negotiations as a continuation of the peace process that took place in Istanbul in 2022.

Medinsky also repeated the narrative of the aggressor country that in order to establish long-term peace, it is necessary to "eliminate the basic root causes of the conflict."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, yesterday, May 14, the Kremlin published the composition of the russian delegation that will go to negotiations in Istanbul.

Russian dictator putin is not on the list, he refused to participate in the negotiations that he himself offered to organize.

After arriving in Istanbul, the head of the russian delegation, Medinsky, stated that russia is supposedly ready for possible compromises in negotiations with Ukraine.
