Russian leader vladimir putin plans to declare a truce on the 80th anniversary of the Victory. It will begin at 00:00 on the night of May 7 to 8 and end at 00:00 on the night of May 10 to 11. "By decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the russian armed forces vladimir putin, based on humanitarian considerations, on the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the russian side declares a truce," the message says.

At the same time, russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example. In the event of violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side, the russian army promises to "give an adequate and effective response."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 19, russian dictator vladimir putin declared the so-called "Easter truce." It lasted from 06:00 pm on April 19 to 00:00 on April 21.

As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later stated, on Easter, April 20, russian troops violated the ceasefire 3,000 times.

Russia also accused Ukraine of violating the so-called "truce," without providing any evidence for this.

The United Nations stated that during the "Easter truce," fighting continued between both the russian and Ukrainian armies.
