Foreign Ministry names 3 red lines that Ukraine will not cross at peace talks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced three principled positions at the London talks on the peaceful settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi, at a briefing on April 25.

Ukraine will have three principled positions at the talks:

Ukraine will never recognize any part of its territory as russian.

It will never agree to any limitation of its Armed Forces, defense capabilities, or military assistance from partners.

No third country has the right to veto membership in NATO or the EU.

"These are three principled positions that Ukraine adheres to. And I can tell you frankly that this was echoed at these and previous talks," Tykhyi emphasized.

He also called not to react emotionally to various media reports regarding the upcoming talks.

On April 23, Axios reported that the so-called "final" peace agreement that the US handed over to Ukraine includes recognizing Crimea as part of russia and recognizing control over the occupied territories.

However, Kyiv is not discussing with its partners the issue of giving up Crimea or other territories occupied by the aggressor country of russia, as this contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine.

In response, Trump said that the aggressor country of russia allegedly offered not to seize the entire territory of Ukraine, limiting itself to Crimea and four regions in the east and south. This is supposedly a big concession.

Meanwhile, Ukraine and its European partners, during a meeting in London, made adjustments to the US-proposed plan for resolving the russian-Ukrainian war.
