More than 40% of all weapons used at front produced in Ukraine - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that more than 40% of all weapons used at the front are produced in Ukraine.

He said this on Facebook.

So, he said this during the award ceremony for workers of the defense-industrial complex. It should be noted that April 13 was the Day of the Worker of the Defense-Industrial Complex of Ukraine.

"More than 40% of all weapons used at the front for the defense of Ukraine are produced in Ukraine. And the trend is unchanged: Ukraine will do more and more to guarantee its security - independently and together with partners," the message says.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine will always need its own strong weapons and its own technological advantage for the Ukrainian state, as well as "so that russia knows: we will respond to every blow."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Strategic Industry reports an eight-fold increase in the production of cruise missiles in Ukraine in 2024 compared to the previous year. The production of long-range drones and the total volume of weapons manufactured within the country also increased significantly.

In 2025, the Ministry of Defense, within the framework of the "Weapons of Victory" initiative, concluded contracts with 12 Ukrainian weapons manufacturers for almost UAH 130 billion.

During February 2025, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces more than 100 new models of weapons and military equipment. Of these, more than 90% are domestically produced.
