Defense Ministry signs contracts with 12 Ukrainian arms manufacturers for UAH 130 billion

In 2025, the Ministry of Defense, within the framework of the Weapons of Victory initiative, signed contracts with 12 Ukrainian arms manufacturers for almost UAH 130 billion.

This is indicated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The Weapons of Victory program allows us to build long-term partnerships with Ukrainian manufacturers. This is not only the stability of supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also the development of the defense industry, the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of the economy in wartime. Our task is to ensure the predictability and sustainability of this process," said Hlib Kanevskyi, director of the procurement policy department, during an online meeting with representatives of the Defence Federation of Employers of Ukraine.

It is noted that the participants of the meeting discussed priority areas of procurement for 2025, improving the regulatory framework and the possibility of expanding long-term contracting mechanisms.

The Weapons of Victory program is a mechanism for long-term contracts for three, five or ten years for national manufacturers of weapons and military equipment.

Among the key requirements for Ukrainian gunsmiths who seek to join the program are mandatory codification, establishment of serial production, and achievement of a localization level of at least 50%.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in February the Ministry of Defense announced that in 2025, more than UAH 44 billion will be allocated for the purchase of FPV drones, in particular fiber-optic ones.
