Cabinet approves Zelenskyy's dismissal of heads of Luhansk and Sumy Regional State Administrations and appointment of new heads

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the dismissal by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the heads of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Artem Lysohor and the Sumy Regional State Administration Volodymyr Artiukh. This is stated in the government's message on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The draft Decrees of the President of Ukraine on the dismissal of: Lysohor Artem Volodymyrovych from the post of the Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration; Artiukh Volodymyr Mykolaiovych from the post of the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration were supported," the message says.

At the same time, the government approved Zelenskyy's appointment of Oleksii Kharchenko as the Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, and Oleh Hryhorov as the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

In September 2024, Zelenskyy appointed Kharchenko, a 38-year-old former member of the Zhytomyr City Council from the Servant of the People party, as the Head of the Sievierodonetsk City Military Administration.

From January 2021 to September 2024, Hryhorov was the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Luhansk Region. Before that, he held the position of the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia Region - Head of the Investigation Department, and earlier he worked in a similar position in the Sumy Region Police.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in April 2023, Zelenskyy appointed the former Deputy Head of the National Police in the Zhytomyr Region Artem Lysohor as the Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, and the former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Volodymyr Artiukh, as the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

Artiukh actually admitted that on the day when the russian army struck the center of Sumy on April 13, an award ceremony for the military was supposed to take place, but at the same time he distanced himself from this event.
