Partners are ready to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry and buy our weapons, which in some cases are much better than Western models. This was reported by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Ukrinform writes on Friday, April 4.
Sybiha noted that Western partners understand that assistance to Ukraine is an investment in the future of European security, which will require Ukrainian experience and knowledge. According to him, this cooperation will be mutually beneficial for both sides.
"We are clearly saying now that our priority is our defense industry. We have surprised the world with our capabilities. Yesterday, there were already proposals to order directly from our manufacturers the types of weapons that we produce in Ukraine and which in many cases are much better than Western models. It was also about investing, and this will be a new page, a new quality of support for our defense sector," the Foreign Minister said.
The allies already consider Ukraine's defense complex as part of the European one, Sybiha emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 17, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had successfully tested a long-range drone of its own production with a flight range of 3,000 kilometers.
In January 2025, the production of Ukrainian drones increased 10 times compared to January 2024.
As a reminder, the Government has set a task to increase its own weapons production to at least half of the required level.
