Russian dictator vladimir putin is acting in his usual style of lying and violating peace agreements, and US President Donald Trump is beginning to realize that "the Kremlin is making a fool of him," according to a report in The Telegraph.
The Kremlin needs a truce in the Black Sea to open free passage for its oil tankers and return the "shabby" Black Sea Fleet to the base in Sevastopol, from which it was withdrawn due to Ukrainian missile attacks.
"The optimism of the White House at the beginning of the negotiations has evaporated. Trump himself seems to be waking up to the realization that the Kremlin is making a fool of him," the material says.
At the same time, the US President understands putin's policy, and begins to counteract it. In particular, the White House refused to comply with the Kremlin's demand to lift sanctions on specific banks involved in grain exports. According to experts, this is not yet strict action against putin, but the beginning of tough negotiations.
"The peace process is threatened by two competing threats: Trump's impatience with a ceasefire, on the one hand, and putin's conceit and illusion, on the other," the author summarizes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 28, the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, said that freezing the war of the aggressor country of russia against Ukraine is the worst possible scenario.
On March 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that russia had begun to manipulate the ceasefire agreements in the Black Sea.
As a reminder, following the results of the US negotiations with Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia in Saudi Arabia, all parties agreed to ensure safe shipping in the Black Sea and to introduce a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
