Ban on travel abroad lifted for ex-head of Naftogaz NJSC Koboliev

The ban on travel abroad has been lifted for former head of Naftogaz NJSC Andrii Koboliev.

This is evidenced by court materials, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the motion of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to extend the term of the duties imposed on the accused Koboliev.

He was extended the term of the duties imposed on him, namely: to notify the court of a change of residence and to refrain from communicating with a number of witnesses.

The term of the resolution is until May 11, 2025 inclusive.

However, he does not have a ban on travel abroad, although he had one before.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered the former chairman of the board of Naftogaz Ukraine Andrii Koboliev to surrender his passport, although he is already abroad. Koboliev did not come to court in the Naftogaz bonuses case because he had gone abroad, but took part via video link. Last year, the High Anti-Corruption Court again ordered the former chairman of the board of Naftogaz Andrii Koboliev to surrender his passport and imposed other duties on him. Although previously the ban on Andrii Koboliev traveling abroad was lifted and other duties were canceled, which is why the SACPO accused the High Anti-Corruption Court of sabotaging the hearings in Andrii Koboliev’s case and may initiate a new preventive measure against him. Andrii Koboliev’s guarantors are demanding the return of more than UAH 44 million.
