US security aid to Ukraine will be restored within the framework of the PDA program. In addition, the US will resume the transfer of intelligence to Kyiv.
This was stated by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
"President Trump has decided to lift the pause on intelligence and security assistance to Ukraine," he said during negotiations with the Ukrainian side in Jeddah.
The decision takes effect immediately.
The transfer of assistance under the PDA program means the rapid transfer of weapons and ammunition directly from warehouses in the US. We are talking about assistance allocated by the administration of previous President Joe Biden.
Earlier, the US Department of Defense reported that several billions remain unused under this program.
In addition, after the meeting, Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that US President Donald Trump wants a ceasefire, Ukraine is ready for this, the US is waiting for russia's response.
"The best thing the russians can do is to agree to the Ukrainian side's offer to cease fire and sit down at the negotiating table," Rubio said.
As a reminder, the talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations have concluded in Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine has expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual consent of the parties and upon acceptance and implementation by the russian side.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine accepts the US proposal to establish a complete ceasefire, not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line.
The President's Office also emphasized that following the talks in Saudi Arabia, the US decided to resume intelligence exchange and military assistance to Ukraine.
