The Defense Forces hit the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.
This was stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on Monday, February 24.
"Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defense Intelligence, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, on the night of February 24, 2025, struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan Oblast, which is involved in providing the russian occupation army. At least 5 explosions are known in the area of the target," the General Staff statement said.
According to preliminary data, the fire broke out in the area of the ELOU AT-6 primary oil processing plant. In addition, on February 23, the Defense Forces hit an oil depot in the Tula Oblast of the russian federation, as a result, the “March 8” plant caught fire in the area of the FDKU.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 24, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, reported that on the night of February 24, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Ryazan Oblast of the russian federation.
On the night of Monday, February 3, several regions of russia were attacked by drones. In the Astrakhan Oblast, drones attempted to strike at fuel and energy complex facilities.
As a reminder, in January, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck nine oil facilities on the territory of the aggressor country, russia.
