On the night of February 24, drones attacked an oil refinery in Ryazan, russia. It is one of the largest refineries in russia.
This was reported by the head of Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), Andrii Kovalenko, on Telegram.
They produce gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil and petrochemicals.
Kovalenko noted that aviation fuel plays a special role, which is critically important for the front-line aviation of the russian army and strategic long-range aviation, which strikes Ukraine.
"This is the third attack on the plant since the beginning of the year," he wrote.
According to local residents, several loud explosions were heard over the city at around 4 a.m. All emergency services are currently working on the site. There is no official information yet.
Footage of the fire is being published on social networks.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of February 13, SSU drones once again struck the Andreapol oil pumping station, which is an important component of the Baltic Pipeline System-2, in the last 2 weeks.
Earlier, SSU drones struck the Volgograd and Astrakhan oil refineries in the russian federation.
The number of attacks on oil refineries, oil depots, and stations in russia continues to grow. Since the beginning of the year, facilities in ten regions of the aggressor country have been attacked.
