Disinformation is currently spreading on the network about the detection of three fire centers on the territory of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, as well as about the alleged release of radiation, which will happen in the near future.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs has reported this.
"We inform you that the information is not true. The operation to eliminate the consequences of the Russian drone attack continues on the territory of the Chornobyl NPP," the message says.
Currently, the State Emergency Service records only 3 centers of smoldering roof insulation, which were timely detected using drones with thermal imaging cameras.
Besides, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center conducts constant monitoring of the radiation level, and currently it remains within normal limits. There is no threat to the population.
"We urge citizens not to spread unverified information and trust only official sources of information!" the Ministry of Interior Affairs added.
Recall that on the night of February 14, a russian strike drone attacked the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The drone was equipped with a high-explosive warhead.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the russian drone was flying at an altitude of 85 meters. Because of this, it was not detected by the radars of the Ukrainian air defense system.
