Fighting continues in the vicinity of the settlement of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk Region.

The spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group Viktor Trehubov reported this on the air of a telethon.

"I can say that fighting continues in the vicinity of the settlement of Velyka Novosilka, the fighting continues not unsuccessfully and, moreover, we regularly report on them – both about the defeat of the enemy there directly, and about the defeat of the enemy who is trying to advance from there in other directions," he said.

In particular, Trehubov gave the example of the defeat of a convoy that was passing Velyka Novosilka to the village of Bohatyr, which is located in the same direction. The convoy was completely destroyed.

In addition, he noted that there have been clashes in the village of Kotlyne on the Pokrovsk axis, and not for the first day.

It should be noted that the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that the advance of russian invaders near Toretsk, Pokrovsk and Velyka Novosilka was recorded.

Recall that on February 2, the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the army of the aggressor country, russia, got into a "fire bag" in the village of Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk Region.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 9, a total of 99 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy attacking most of all on the Pokrovsk axis (33 clashes) and in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation (18 clashes).
