Trump says that losses of Ukraine and RF in almost 3 years of war exceed one and a half million people

US President Donald Trump said that in almost three years of full-scale war, the losses of Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia amounted to more than one and a half million people killed and wounded.

The American leader said this on the Fox News channel.

According to him, the russian army lost from 800,000 to 900,000 people killed and seriously wounded. Ukraine's losses allegedly amount to 700,000 people.

The head of the White House said that the russian-Ukrainian war is terrible from a human point of view.

"What is happening now is a nightmare. People are fighting in open fields without any fortifications. The only protection from a bullet is their own bodies. I want this senseless conflict to finally end," Trump said.

The US President did not specify what the figures for the losses of the russian and Ukrainian armies he announced were based on.

Recall, in December 2024, Trump's special envoy to Ukraine and russia, Keith Kellogg, stated that both sides of the conflict allegedly lost about half a million people killed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2024, the British publication The Economist published an article in which it wrote, citing various sources, that Ukraine allegedly lost from 60,000 to 100,000 people killed.
