Russian dictator vladimir putin does not intend to publicly apologize to Azerbaijan for the fact that the russian army was the cause of the crash of the Embraer 190 passenger plane of the Azerbaijan Airlines airline.
According to The Moscow Times, this was stated by putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov on February 7.
Peskov was asked to comment on a publication that appeared the day before in the Azerbaijani media. In it, russia was offered to take responsibility for the incident with the plane.
According to him, putin does not plan to speak on the topic of the crash.
Recall that the Embraer 190 plane of the Azerbaijan Airlines airline crashed at Aktau airport on December 25. It was flying from Baku to Grozny.
There were 67 people on board the plane: 62 passengers and five crew members. 39 people were killed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 4, Reuters wrote, citing sources in the Azerbaijani government, that the Embraer 190 plane crashed due to damage it sustained after being hit by a missile fired from the Pantsir-S air defense system.
We wrote that in early January of this year, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev directly stated that responsibility for the crash of the Embraer 190 plane lies with russian representatives.
At the end of December 2024, Aliyev outlined his demands to putin in connection with the incident with the passenger plane.
