United States President Donald Trump said that he may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and talk to russian dictator vladimir putin next week.
Trump said this during a press conference at the White House on Friday, February 7.
"I will most likely meet with President Zelenskyy next week, and I will probably talk to president putin. I want to see this war end. So many people have been killed, they are losing millions of people on the battlefield," Trump said.
One of the reasons for the meeting is Zelenskyy's desire to protect Ukraine's underground resources, and we want protection because Europe has spent much less money than the United States. The United States has spent USD 300 billion, while Europe has spent USD 100 billion. In addition, Trump noted that he could meet with putin because they "have always had a good relationship."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January, US President Donald Trump said that he wanted to meet with the president of the aggressor country, russia, vladimir putin, as soon as possible to ensure an end to the war with Ukraine.
On February 3, Trump said that he wanted to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on the supply of Ukrainian rare earth minerals to the United States.
On February 5, Trump said that Washington was negotiating on Ukraine and assured that he would do everything possible to end the war.
