NSDC denies RF’s launch of second Oreshnik on February 6

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) denied the alleged launch of the second Oreshnik by the aggressor country of russia on February 6 over Ukraine.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Yesterday there was no launch of the Oreshnik. In the case of such launches, russia must warn Western partners. There was no warning, and the launch itself with the subsequent "missile fall" also did not happen," he said.

Earlier, the media, citing Ukrainian serviceman and blogger Kyrylo Sazonov, reported that the army of the aggressor country of russia probably launched the second Oreshnik missile over Ukraine on February 6. According to unconfirmed information, the missile malfunctioned and fell on russian territory.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 21, 2024, russia attacked Dnipro with an experimental medium-range ballistic missile Oreshnik (Kedr), which can carry a nuclear warhead.

In December, russian dictator vladimir putin said he wanted to launch an "experimental" strike on Kyiv with Oreshnik and proposed to bring all Western air defense and missile defense systems to Kyiv to see if they could intercept it.
