Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak discussed in a telephone conversation with the US President's Special Envoy to Ukraine and russia Keith Kellogg his upcoming visit to Ukraine and upcoming meetings of the parties at the Munich Security Conference.

This was announced by the Office of the President, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Andrii Yermak and Keith Kellogg discussed the upcoming visit of the Special Envoy to Ukraine, which is very important. The Head of the Office of the Head of State emphasized that the priority for our country is to achieve a just and sustainable peace," the message says.

The situation at the front and the issue of the security of the civilian population of Ukraine were also discussed.

"Special attention was paid to upcoming meetings at the Munich Security Conference," the Office reported.

Yermak expressed gratitude to the United States for supporting Ukraine in the fight against russian aggression.

From the message of the Office of the President about the meeting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso on February 6, it became known that Zelenskyy plans to participate in the Munich Security Conference, which will be held this year from February 14 to 16.

In particular, Zelenskyy noted that during the Munich Conference he will talk to partners in Europe about supporting Ukrainian internally displaced persons and helping them with new housing.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Oksana Markarova, announced on Facebook that she had her first meeting with Kellogg in his official status as Special Envoy to Ukraine and russia, to which he was appointed by President Trump on February 3. She, in particular, reported that they had a thorough discussion.

In January, US President Donald Trump stated that he wanted to meet with the president of the aggressor country, russia, vladimir putin, as soon as possible to ensure an end to the war with Ukraine.

According to media reports, the US President's Special Envoy to Ukraine and russia, Keith Kellogg, plans to arrive in Ukraine on February 20, before which he will attend the Munich Security Conference.
