On the night of January 31, the Unmanned Systems Forces, together with the Defense Intelligence, struck LLC Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka in the Volgograd Oblast of russia, which is one of the most powerful oil refineries in the country.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, on the night of January 31, 2025, struck LLC LUKOIL- Volgogradneftepererabotka in the Volgograd Oblast of the russian federation," the report says.
It is indicated that this refinery is among the ten largest oil refineries in russia in terms of design capacity and is involved in providing the russian occupation army.
After the destruction, flares and explosions were recorded in the area of this important plant for the occupiers. The results of the fire damage are being clarified.
"Combat work on strategic infrastructure, which directly affects the ability of the russian armed forces to continue fighting against Ukraine, will continue," the General Staff emphasized.
Recall that in the morning, the Center for Countering Disinformation informed that the Volgograd oil refinery, which is the sixth largest in the country, was hit in the aggressor state of russia. It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and aviation fuel.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of January 29, units of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, used UAVs to hit the Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery of the aggressor state of russia.
