On the night of January 29, units of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, using UAVs, struck the Nizhny Novgorod Oil Refinery of the aggressor state of russia. A powerful fire was recorded.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported this.
"Units of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Nizhny Novgorod Oil Refinery (Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of the Russian Federation) on the night of January 29, 2025," the message says.
It is indicated that after the UAV strike, a powerful fire was recorded on the territory of the facility. The results and extent of the damage are being clarified.
The General Staff noted that the struck oil refinery is involved in providing support to the occupation army of the russian federation.
"Combat operations on strategic facilities involved in ensuring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will continue," the department emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 26, it became known that the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the warehouses storing attack UAVs of the russian occupiers in the Oryol Oblast of the aggressor country, russia.
