This was announced by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Andrii Kovalenko.
"The Volgograd oil refinery was hit. It is one of the largest in the russian federation," the report says.
It is indicated that the design processing capacity of the specified refinery is about 14 million tons of oil per year, which makes it the sixth largest oil refinery in russia.
Kovalenko added that the plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and aviation fuel.

Meanwhile, the russian media outlet ASTRA quoted the governor of the Volgograd Oblast of the russian federation, who confirmed the attack on the plant. He claims that a fire broke out at the oil refinery allegedly due to falling UAV debris.
He also stated that one injured worker at the plant was reportedly hospitalized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of January 29, units of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Defense Intelligence, in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, used UAVs to strike the Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery of the aggressor state of russia.
