On the eve of his inauguration, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump once again promised to end the war in Ukraine in order to prevent World War III.
He stated this on January 19 during a rally at the Capitol One Arena in Washington.
"I will end the war in Ukraine, stop the chaos in the Middle East and prevent World War III from happening - and you have no idea how close we are," Trump said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 9, Trump confirmed that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the possibility of ending the war.
On January 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that negotiations on ending the war between the aggressor country russia and Ukraine should begin with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders.
On January 15, The Hill reported that Trump may offer russia a space deal in exchange for peace in Ukraine.
At the same time, Bloomberg sources claim that Trump is developing a large-scale sanctions strategy to reach a diplomatic agreement between the aggressor country russia and Ukraine in the coming months.
