The Cabinet of Ministers has assigned the competencies of Vice Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity Oleksii Chernyshov as the formation of a positive image of Ukraine, the development of relations with Ukrainians abroad, the development of the diplomatic service, issues of culture and art, the preservation of national memory and cinematography.
This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred to Chernyshov from the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna issues related to promoting Ukraine's entry into the world information space, enhancing its international authority, forming a positive image of the state as a reliable and predictable partner, developing ties with Ukrainians abroad, developing the diplomatic service of Ukraine, issues of culture and art, protecting cultural heritage, exporting, importing and returning cultural values, preserving national memory, and cinematography.
From the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Kuleba, Chernyshov was transferred issues related to organizing work on the formation and implementation of the state policy of national unity of Ukraine, ensuring interaction between executive bodies with the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, state information policy on the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, state policy in the areas of information sovereignty and information security of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 3, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksii Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company, to the position of Vice Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity.
In December, the Cabinet of Ministers renamed the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories to the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine.
