The aggressor country russia may use the Oreshnik ballistic missile against Ukraine in the coming days.
Bloomberg reported this on Wednesday, December 11, citing a U.S. official.
According to the U.S. official, russia may launch another intermediate-range ballistic missile against Ukraine in the coming days.
"President Vladimir Putin likely only possesses a handful of the experimental missiles, known as Oreshnik, which carry a smaller warhead than other missiles Russia has fired at Ukraine,” the informed source said.
At the same time, the U.S. does not consider the Oreshnik ballistic missile to be a game-changing weapon, the official said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 21, russia attacked the city of Dnipro with an experimental intermediate-range ballistic missile Oreshnik (Kedr), which can carry a nuclear warhead.
On November 22, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine previously reported that it was aware of a new russian missile.
On December 6, russian dictator vladimir putin announced that missile systems with Oreshnik missiles would be deployed in Belarus.
