Information about russia's production of 25 ballistic missiles Oreshnik per month is not true and is a deliberate fake.
This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Andrii Kovalenko.
"The publication (Military Watch Magazine), through which this disinformation was spread in the English-speaking space, is a kind of lining for legitimizing information beneficial to russia and its further dissemination," he noted.
According to Kovalenko, sanctions in russia have significantly slowed down the production cycle of high-tech missiles:
"So, they produce the Kh-101 or Kalibr and accumulate them due to the intensive use of Shaheds. However, the production of more technological missiles, such as Kinzhal, is carried out in units. And Oreshnik is an even more technological cycle."
In this regard, the head of the CCD called the information about the "stamping" of the Oreshnik a deliberate fake.
"The purpose of the throw-in is to spread fear in Western societies," he stated.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 6, russian dictator vladimir putin said that missile systems with Oreshnik missiles would be deployed in Belarus.
We will remind, earlier the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that it was known about a new missile, with which the russians first struck Ukraine on November 21, 2024.
We also wrote that journalists were shown the fragments of the Oreshnik missile found at the hit site in Dnipro.
