The aggressor country of russia seeks not only to seize additional kilometers of Ukrainian territory, but also to achieve concessions from the West.
This was stated by the advisor to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podoliak, in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
According to Podoliak, today the Kremlin's main goal is to achieve not so much the capitulation of Ukraine, but concessions from the US and the EU. Moscow wants the West to stop supporting Kyiv and agree to plans that will ensure the end of the war in favor of russian demands.
In particular, the demands will include securing for russia the territories already occupied, avoiding any responsibility for the outbreak of the war, and creating conditions under which Moscow's defeat will become impossible.
"They will sell the defeat there (in russia, - ed.) as propaganda, that this is a victory. An intermediate victory. That's what is important for russia. And that is why russia will continue to raise the stakes," Podoliak added.
Recall, earlier Zelenskyy admitted that Ukraine does not have the forces to return the occupied territories.
According to foreign media, NATO is doubling the supply of weapons to Ukraine to strengthen its position until the negotiations.
