Oreshnik missile that russians used to strike Dnipro was not carrying warheads. It was equipped with mock-ups

The ballistic missile that the aggressor country of russia used to strike Dnipro on the morning of November 21 was equipped with warheads that did not have explosives inside. In fact, the missile dropped empty blanks on the city.

This was reported by Reuters on November 26, citing two unnamed Ukrainian officials.

The agency’s interlocutors said on condition of anonymity that the Oreshnik missile, as russian dictator vladimir putin has called it, was carrying mock-up warheads.

According to one of the sources, these warheads caused limited damage.

“In this case, the missile was without explosives <...> There were no explosions, as we expected. There was something, but not very big,” a second Reuters interlocutor said.

The agency notes that, according to some experts, the use of simulated warheads can be explained by the fact that the missile was equipped with equipment that was necessary to measure the characteristics of the missile.

It is emphasized that at the moment it is not publicly known whether the missile and warheads launched by the russians over Dnipro were equipped with similar equipment.

In the evening of the same day, russian dictator putin stated that an allegedly new ballistic missile called Oreshnik was used to strike Dnipro.

Recall that the day before, the Security Service of Ukraine showed journalists the fragments of the missile with which the russians struck Dnipro on November 21.

And the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that the missile's flight time from the launch point in the Astrakhan Oblast to Dnipro was 15 minutes. The missile carried six warheads, each of which had six submunitions.
