Storm Shadow missile strike on russian base in Marino: general and North Korean soldiers killed

The Storm Shadow missile strike, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out on November 20 on an underground facility on the territory of the sanatorium of the russian Presidential Administration in Marino, Kursk Oblast, which occurred yesterday, November 20, destroyed several leaders of the russian army. Including one general.

The Defense Express publication reported this with reference to the Dosye Shpiona (Spy Dossier) Telegram channel.

As a result of the strike on the command post, 18 soldiers were killed, another 33 were wounded, including three North Korean soldiers. Among the killed Korean soldiers were two officers.

Most of the russians are officers of the Southern and Eastern military districts. It is noted that the command post was occupied by the first deputy commander of the Leningrad Military District, Lieutenant General Valery Solodchuk, former commander of the 1st Army Corps under the "DPR" group in 2014.

When the russians tried to dismantle the rubble and demine one of the warheads, which apparently did not detonate, an explosion occurred, as a result of which 13 more russian sappers were injured. Among the wounded was the deputy chief of staff of the 88th sapper regiment.

The presence of high-ranking officials during the dismantling of the rubble may indicate that the killed servicemen included more than just officers and one general.

Recall that Bloomberg reported on November 20 that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had for the first time used British Storm Shadow cruise missiles on military facilities on the territory of the aggressor country, russia. It was noted that the strike was carried out the day after Ukraine first used ATACMS to strike a military facility in the western Bryansk Oblast.

On the night of November 18-19, a series of explosions thundered in the city of Karachev in the Bryansk Oblast of the aggressor country, russia, where there was a large arsenal of ammunition for the russian army.

The russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly launched six ATACMS missiles.

According to media reports, Ukraine carried out the first strikes on military targets in the russian territory using British Storm Shadow missiles. The likely target could be the Estate of the Baryatinsky Princes near Marino, Kursk Oblast, which, according to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, is located at a distance that is appropriate for the operational headquarters of the troops conducting an offensive along this demarcation line.
