Ukraine will receive two more batches of American multi-role fourth-generation F-16 Fighring Falcon fighters from Denmark.
Prime Minister of the Kingdom Mette Frederiksen said this at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNIAN reports.
According to her, Ukraine previously received six F-16 fighters from Denmark and there are no changes in Copenhagen's plans to continue the supply.
Frederiksen emphasized that in total, Denmark is going to transfer nineteen F-16 fighters to Ukraine. The supply of the remaining aircraft will be divided into two batches.
The Danish Prime Minister did not specify when the other fighters will be transferred to Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 10, 2024, the US Department of State announced that Denmark and the Netherlands had begun transferring F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
Recall, on August 4, President Zelenskyy officially confirmed the arrival of the first F-16s to Ukraine. That day, the aircraft were shown publicly.
We also wrote that in early October, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that Ukraine had received the first Dutch F-16s.
