Trump almost chose special representative for Ukraine to quickly stop war – Fox News

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will soon appoint a special envoy to Ukraine to negotiate an end to the war with the aggressor country, russia, sources told Fox News on Wednesday, November 13.

"You're going to see a very high-ranking special envoy, with a lot of credibility, who will be tasked with finding a solution, to come to a peaceful settlement. You're going to see that soon," one of the sources said.

According to the ZN.ua publication, the main candidate for this position is the American diplomat, lawyer and civil servant Brian Hook, who worked as the U.S. special representative on Iran and senior policy adviser to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from September 2018 to August 2020.

It is expected that this work will not be paid, since from 2017 to 2019, Kurt Volker worked as a special representative for Ukrainian negotiations on a volunteer basis.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 2, the special representative of the Chinese government for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, said that more than 110 countries positively evaluated the plan to promote a political solution to the "crisis" in Ukraine, which was jointly published by China and Brazil.

Recall that in May, Trump said that if he wins the presidential election, he will stop the russian-Ukrainian war in 24 hours.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military does not believe that the initiative of the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is capable of stopping the war.
