Ukraine not planning to create nuclear bomb. Foreign Ministry reacts to The Times publication

Ukraine has no plans to create nuclear weapons.

The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, announced this on X.

"Ukraine is committed to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons; we do not have, are not developing, and are not going to create nuclear weapons," Tykhyi stressed.

According to him, Ukraine closely cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency and is fully open to IAEA monitoring, which "rules out the use of nuclear materials for military purposes."

We will remind you that The Times issued a publication with reference to alleged information from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine that our country could develop an elementary nuclear bomb in a few months if the United States cuts military aid.

On September 25, russian dictator vladimir putin proposed to change russia's nuclear doctrine, allowing the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a mass drone attack on the russian federation.

On November 13, NATO announced that it would have already sent its troops to Ukraine if russia did not have nuclear weapons.
