Putin proposes to change russia's nuclear doctrine, allowing use of nuclear weapons in event of attack by UAVs

Russian dictator vladimir putin has proposed to change the nuclear doctrine of the russian federation, allowing the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a mass drone attack on the russian federation.

The dictator said this at a meeting of the Security Council on nuclear deterrence, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Putin proposed to change the policy of using nuclear weapons in such a way that moscow could consider the relevant issue "already after reliable data on the massive launch of missiles and UAVs during the crossing of the border."

He also suggested that aggression by a non-nuclear-weapon state involving a nuclear power should be treated as a joint attack.

Putin also wants russia to be able to use nuclear weapons in the event that it is attacked with conventional weapons.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in July 2024, russia complained that Western countries were no longer afraid of moscow's use of its nuclear weapons.

Recall that in May it became known that russia had placed nuclear weapons in Belarus, just 200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
