Zelenskyy not signing law on tax increase for almost month

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not signed the law on tax increase for almost a month.

This is evidenced by the data on the card of bill No. 11416-d, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on October 10.

On October 15, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, signed the law, which was sent to the President for signature on the same day.

Only after signing by Zelenskyy and publication in the Holos Ukrainy (Voice of Ukraine) newspaper will the law enter into force.

According to the law, tax increase should begin "retroactively" - from October 1.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk believes that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will sign the law on tax increase in the near future.
