Members of the Verkhovna Rada from the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association and the European Solidarity factions propose to the parliament to cancel the decision to raise taxes.
This is stated in draft resolutions Nos. 11416-d-P, 11416-d-P1, 11416-d-P2, 11416-d-P3, 11416-d-P4, 11416-d-P5, 11416-d-P6, 11416 -d-P7, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
All registered resolutions propose to cancel the Rada’s decision of October 10 to raise taxes.
Among the authors of the resolutions: the co-chairs of the European Solidarity faction Artur Herasimov and Iryna Herashchenko, as well as the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction and party Yuliia Tymoshenko.
Until the resolutions are considered at the Rada meeting and "failed" in the vote, the Speaker of the Parliament will not be able to sign the approved bill and submit it to the President for signature.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the increase in taxes approved by the Verkhovna Rada will increase revenues in the state budget in 2024 by UAH 30 billion.
The main legal department of the Verkhovna Rada analyzed bill on raising taxes No. 11416-d and came to the conclusion that its separate norms do not correspond to the Constitution of Ukraine.
