Foreign Ministry condemns launch of intercontinental ballistic missile by North Korea

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns another launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile by North Korea on October 31 of this year.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"This is another irresponsible provocation that undermines peace and stability both on the Korean Peninsula and in the world in general," a statement on the website reads.

It is noted that the DPRK, which provides the russian federation not only with artillery ammunition and ballistic missiles, but also sends its military units to participate in the war against Ukraine, continues to deliberately destabilize the situation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also considers the test of a missile that reached a maximum height compared to previous launches to be evidence of the further advancement of the DPRK's missile program. Against this background, deepening military cooperation between the russian federation and the DPRK is of particular concern, which requires an immediate and decisive response from the world community.

"We call on our partners to take immediate action to resolutely oppose the russian and North Korean regimes - from increasing sanctions pressure on Moscow and Pyongyang to maximally strengthening Ukraine's capabilities within the framework of the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy," the department said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, there are 8,000 servicemen of the Korean People's Army (KPA), who arrived from North Korea to participate in the war against Ukraine, in the territory of the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.

Meanwhile, the KPA built new fortifications near the road and rail routes leading to South Korea.

On October 15, North Korea blew up part of the railway and highway connecting the country with South Korea.

It will be recalled that the day before, on October 14, it became known that North Korea had put its troops on the border with South Korea on alert.
