There are 8,000 servicemen of the Korean People's Army (KPA), who arrived from North Korea to participate in the war against Ukraine, in the territory of the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.
According to Newsweek, US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood said this during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
"We have just received information, which has just arrived, that there are about 8,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk Oblast now," Wood said.
Wood's words were heard during the meeting, which was convened at the request of russia for "issues of international peace and security."
After informing about the number of North Korean troops, Wood asked the permanent representative of russia to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, whether, as before, Moscow claims that there are no troops from the DPRK on its territory. Nebenzya did not answer the question.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 31, it became known that three generals of the General Staff of the KPA arrived in russia from North Korea.
It will be recalled that a day earlier, on October 30, the CNN channel reported with reference to unnamed intelligence representatives of two Western countries that a "small number" of North Korean soldiers were in the Kursk Oblast.
As it became known on October 28, reconciliation of North Korean soldiers began in the Kursk Oblast.
