President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not yet signed the law on tax increases.
This is evidenced by the data on bill No. 11416-d, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Only after signing by Zelenskyy and publication in the Holos Ukrainy (Voice of Ukraine) newspaper will the law enter into force.
According to the law, tax increases should begin "retroactively" - from October 1.
As of the morning of October 31, the law has not been signed by Zelenskyy.
On October 15, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, signed the document.
After that, it was sent to the President for his signature.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 10, the Verkhovna Rada raised taxes.
MPs from the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association and the European Solidarity factions tried to block the signing of the law on tax increases.
However, on October 14, the parliament unblocked the signing of this law.
The increase in taxes approved by the Verkhovna Rada should increase revenues to the state budget in 2024 by UAH 30 billion.
